One of the couples who used to be in our small group at church just recently found out that their 4 year old little girl, Elizabeth, was battling Stage 4 cancer. It began with some swelling in her cheek, tingling in her legs, and her parents noticed that she was eating less and less and sleeping more and more. Within 30 days, their lives have been turned upside down. Please pray for our friends, Jessica, Peter, and their little girl, Elizabeth, during this trying time. Our God is a big God and is mighty to save!
You can read more about her story here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/elizabethcooke and I encourage all who feel comfortable to leave a message letting them know that people all over are praying for peace, comfort, and healing for their family. If it were you, wouldn't knowing there are hundreds praying serve to strengthen and give you hope?

Thank you, Amy. I was floored as I was reading the guestbook on our Caring Bridge this morning and discovered that people from your blog had read about Elizabeth and were praying for her. I want you to know that it means the world to me that you took the time to post that on your blog. Thank you so much for thinking of Elizabeth and for continuously praying for her. You're right when you said that we serve a big God who is mighty to save! God has blessed us with some amazing people in our lives and we're so thankful for your friendship!
Being a mom myself, I am too scared to click the link, but, I will be praying for Elizabeth and her parents too. Would you mind letting them know? I just cannot imagine what they must be going through right now.
Hi Amy, I have followed your blog for a while, however, I don't think I have ever commented. I just wanted to let you know that I went and read Elizabeth's story yesterday and I was so heartbroken. As a mom of three little girls I cannot even imagine what they are going through. I signed their guestbook and I will definitly be keeping this precious family in my prayers! I believe that we serve a mighty God and that He will carry them through this storm in their life.
