On Sunday after church, DW and I went to lunch with the Wards and had a great time! We went to this trendy little grill that plays famous art on a flat screen on the wall. It didn't occur to us that the pictures rotating on the screen might include an abstract painting of naked people until Caleb's 4 year old little eyes fly open mid-bite and he says, "OOOOOOHHHHHH my goodness!!!!!!" We looked at his shocked little face, glanced up at the screen behind us, and knew that we couldn't really do anything to recover what was already done! Four grown adults, trying hard not to die laughing, only ends up being more funny.
Wards minus Jackson...

Walkers and Wards...

Afterward, we went to the store and bought our very first Christmas tree and decorations. We figured four years is long enough to go without getting into the Christmas spirit. It's not that I don't love the holidays because I really do. It's just that we normally travel to visit family every year and just haven't made the effort to do one of our own since we've been in transition quite a bit.
Our first tree...
This is going to be our first Christmas morning home in our own house and we are already feeling the difference that a tree makes!

Your tree is lovely - that ribbon is great!! Enjoy the warmth your tree brings to your home. I always love the glow in our house and the warm fuzzies I get from having it there. (o:

Your tree looks great! I can't beleive that you have went 4 years without a Christmas tree though. I understand having to travel for the holidays. We always leave for a week and 1/2 on Christmas Day to visit Hubs family.
