Whenver an episode of The Hills comes on, Dusty always rolls his eyes and acts like he's completely disinterested. Usually, he'll get out his computer and start checking his emails and acting busy, but he always stays in the room. How convenient. I'll hear the keys on the keyboard just clicking away but the sound will start to slow and then fade all together. I'll glance out of the corner of my eyes and catch him watching. As soon as he notices I've noticed, he's goes right back to typing away...and pretending.
So this is why the following conversation was so entertaining to me earlier. He's in Boston for work and calls to check in. I answer the phone and it goes something like this:
DW: Whatcha doing, turd?
Me: Catching up on the last episode of The Hills I missed.
DW: Is that the one where Lauren goes to Italy?
Me: Um yeah...(confused) Did you watch it already?
DW: Yup.
Me: Yeeeaaaahhh, and you try to say you don't watch it!
DW: I don't.
Me: But you just said you did.
DW: I don't. (but I can hear him grinning by now)
All I have to say to that is: mmmmm-huh. Busted.

Ooooohhhh that is good stuff. Jeremiah was the same way about Grey's. He used to call it Gay's Anatomy, because it is so lame... then he started watching with me. Now he's as hooked as me! =)

Yep - When Tara and I watch it together here, Shane comes in out of the room, "totally annoyed", but he always stops and watches...then tries to make fun of it because he knows we see him interested!!

my husband is the EXACT same way!
My husband rolls his eyes as well but then he will stop midway through the living room and then always ask, 'who's that? she's hot!'.... or 'who's Stephanie?' or 'who's Lauren?'. I get so frustrated trying to point and show him who they are. haha I'm like just watch it already!
hilarious! Drew "watches" with me too.. last night i was reading one of my weekly in touch magazine, and i passed it to him when i was done and he was like " I dont read these" and i said "umm yeah you do" and just laughed.. haha
